Yamaha Vinales

Maverick Viñales started from pole position in this Dutch Grand Prix at Assen where he finally finished second behind his teammate Fabio Quartararo. But the Spaniard's news is not punctuated by this Dutch performance which could theoretically boost his morale after the debacle a week ago in Germany, where he finished dead last. Because he will spend his summer break thinking about his future. So, if he does not confirm, far from it, that he will go to Aprilia in 2022, he recognizes that the story with Yamaha is ending…

The rumor which spread like wildfire this Sunday at Assen, and wanting that, on the one hand, Casa Particular in Viñales leaves Yamaha prematurely to, on the other hand, join the ranks of Aprilia obviously reached the source of inspiration that is the pilot. The latter did not hide the subject during his press conference. “ One thing is clear: I can't give my best at Yamaha. I need to get my life back and find my direction. It's sometimes difficult. But I have to change something. I need something where I have the opportunity to give as much as possible. In every race, in every lap and on every track »

He adds : " it is not possible that where I am I can achieve my full potential ". On the option Aprilia, he dismisses the perspective: “ for now, the only stage is summer. Leaving Yamaha is an option that I have been considering since the beginning of the year because I am not able to show my potential ". Then he finishes: “ it's important to come home with a podium. Since I could have given a lot more on many other occasions this season, we will come back to make an even better second half of the yeare ”.

Vinales: “I need to get my life back and find my direction«

At least there will be an end to the season with the Yamaha . It will therefore not happen as between Johann zarco et KTM. The Frenchman also commented on the Spaniard’s situation: “ he doesn't realize how lucky he is. At KTM I didn't make a podium or a first place ". But Casa Particular in Viñales is determined to end his relationship with Yamaha  : " I can only say to Yamaha 'thank you for the opportunities' » commented the teammate Quarterly. Words worthy of a farewell party…

Maverick Vinales was unable to improve on his sixth place in Assen World Championship on the Monster Yamaha. After nine of 19 races, the Spaniard already has 51 points behind his teammate fabio quartararo, leader of the general classification.

We will recall that Casa Particular in Viñales is on his third chief mechanic in the Yamaha box. This in two years, without the results really changing. He also ditched his No. 25 for No. 12 out of superstition after the 2018 season.
