When we remember Repsol's post on its general vision of the current MotoGP and bring it back to the debacle experienced at the German Grand Prix, we can legitimately ask the question of whether the energy supplier will continue to be involved in this way. The debate is also open in a paddock which is talking less and less discreetly about a sensational Red Bull project which would be the counterpart of the one underway in Formula 1. But we are still far from being there. The reality is Assen this weekend, for a Dutch Grand Prix which will be the last before a summer break blessed by Pol Espargaró and Stefan Bradl…
And for good reason. The two factory Honda drivers only experienced painful moments on the Sachsenring, literally and figuratively. The duo suffered burns to their hands and a foot due to a fairing unable to evacuate calories, putting Bradl out of it. But the Spaniard also has more than painful odds after a violent fall during FP1 in Saxony… “ I spent a few days at home doing my best to prepare for this weekend's race, receiving lots of treatment on my ribs » grimaces the youngestAleix Espargaró.

He adds : " There's not much else we can do, I'm prepared as much as possible. Assen is a very different track to Germany, there are obviously a lot of quick changes of direction and you really need to have a bike that handles well. The objective is to obtain a good result before the summer break, we need to stop the streak of bad races we've had."
For its part, Stefan bradl continues to replace Marc Marquez, who is not expected in the box before the end of the season. He has fond memories of his national Grand Prix and he hopes to finally experience highs in the Netherlands: “ Assen gives us the opportunity to resolve the problems we had in Germany. Before this race, we were making a lot of progress, especially with my driving. The goal for the weekend is to take another step in that direction, to gain that last dose of confidence and feeling by pushing for a super fast lap. I haven't raced at Assen for a few years, but I think we can pick up speed quickly there. I want to have a strong weekend to arrive at the break with extra motivation ". A break on the calendar MotoGP which will do good for everyone Repsol Honda.
