For the moment, whether in Portugal or Argentina, the French driver has had to deal with a whole bunch of mishaps which have prevented him from fighting for the podium. But even if he was able to show a good race pace, one certainty seems obvious to him: he will have to start further on the grid to be able to fight at the front with the Ducatis, and therefore qualify better than his 11th place in the Portugal and its 10th position in Argentina.
In this regard, this Friday will be crucial, as he repeated during the press conference prelude to the Grand Prix of the Americas.
Your current position does not seem to be a reflection of your potential or your speed this season: Is that how you see things?

What is missing from the M1 this year to make it feel like your bike?
« It's not much, but everything is so tight that if you're not 100% confident on the bike, it's still difficult. Portugal wasn't too bad, but we had a test just before. We had to deal with the conditions in Argentina but every time we went on track we changed something and it got better and better. So I hope we can find our base on this circuit, and especially take a step forward in qualifying. »
