Jack Miller

Jack Miller will have to go through the first qualifying phase (Q1) for his Australian MotoGP Grand Prix after a frustrating day. Although he showed good speed in the Phillip Island practice session, a crash near the end prevented him from completing a fast lap, jeopardizing his chances of qualifying directly for Q2.

The Australian, who is racing at his home track, expressed his disappointment, explaining that the cancellation of FP1 due to rain had already disrupted his schedule: " It wasn't the Friday we had anticipated by missing FP1. And then, during the Practice, I had good expectations. The pace seemed good, but I messed it up as far as the lap time. The first tyre was pretty decent, I was pretty happy, but I knew there were areas I could improve quite a bit »

Jack Miller: “ I failed to pass sector 2 »

Miller then encountered a yellow flag on his first attempt at a flying lap, then a crash on his second attempt, as he described: “ during the second run, in the first round, I got the yellow flag at turn 1 with Lorenzo Savadori, and then on the second run I really got going. Sector 1 was good, but I couldn't get through sector 2. The bike felt pretty good »

Despite these obstacles, Jack Miller remains hopeful for the rest of the weekend. He knows that the conditions at Phillip Island can evolve quickly, and he hopes to be able to bounce back in Saturday's qualifying session and fight for a good place on the grid.
