Fabio Quartararo finished the 2024 Australian Grand Prix, round 17 of the MotoGP, in ninth position. Taking advantage of Pedro Acosta's withdrawal, the Yamaha rider gained a place on the grid, moving from 19th to 18th. After a good start, the 2021 world champion managed to move up to ninth position, but the first part of the race was complicated due to a bad feeling with the rear of his Yamaha M1.
« I had a very good start, but unfortunately the first part of the race was difficult. I had some highsides and I couldn't keep up with the guys in front ", has explained fabio quartararo.
Despite these initial difficulties, the French driver never gave up. With five laps to go, he overtook Jack Millerthen Raul fernandez, to secure its position in the top 10.

He then posted some of his personal best laps in the final moments of the race, allowing him to consolidate his ninth place until the checkered flag.
« The second part of the race was really good and I can be happy, because The last ten rounds have been really positive ", Quartararo stressed. "I think there are some things we can learn from this race."
Despite a difficult start, Quarterly showed great fighting spirit and a consistent pace in the second half of the race. This result shows that he remains a threat in the peloton, even if the Yamaha M1 continues to show certain limitations, particularly in terms of adhesion.
