Jorge Martin dominated qualifying for the Australian Grand Prix, taking pole position with a blistering 1:27.296 lap on his Pramac Racing Ducati Desmosedici GP24 Factory. It was his 20th MotoGP pole, his seventh this season, and the 41st of his career in all categories. Martin, in top form, cemented his position as world championship leader and will start at the front of the grid for Sunday's race and Saturday's Sprint event.

Alongside “Martinator”, Marc Marquez, on the Ducati GP23 of Gresini Racing, managed to get to the front row with a gap of +0,594s. Maverick Vinales, riding his Aprilia Factory, completes this first line after a good lap, +0,695s from the leader.

Marco Bezzecchi set a solid fourth time with a time of 1'28.375 (+1.079s), riding the VR23 Racing Team Ducati GP46. Pecco Bagnaia, despite losing valuable time in the pits to change the front tyre, limited the damage by finishing fifth, +1.182s behind. Raul Fernandez, a real surprise of the day, successfully passed Q1 and qualified in sixth position on Aprilia TrackHouse.

Franco Morbidelli, on the other Ducati GP24 Factory of Pramac Racing, will start seventh and will be accompanied on the third row by Alex Marquez (Ducati GP23 Gresini) and alex rins, best driver Yamaha , who managed to place his YZR-M1 in ninth position.

In the fourth line, we find Enea Bastianini (Ducati Factory), Brad Binder (KTM) and Fabio DiGiannantonio (Ducati GP23 VR46 Racing Team), the latter having fallen at turn 1 without being able to improve his time.

Luca marini (Repsol Honda), after failing to make it into Q2, will start from 13th position, followed by Johann zarco (Honda LCR) in 14th place and Peter Acosta (KTM GASGAS Tech3) in 15th. Jack Miller (KTM), Augusto Fernandez (KTM GASGAS Tech3), Joan mir (Repsol-Honda), fabio quartararo (yamaha), Aleix Espargaró (Aprilia), Takaaki Nakagami (Honda LCR) and Lorenzo Savadori (Aprilia TrackHouse) complete the qualifying standings.

Here we go and it's Martin who comes out in front ahead of Bezzecchi and Bagnaia..M Marquez misses…Vinales gets the better of the Ducati rider. He drops back in position, being pushed by Binder

The Top10 is made up after 2 rounds of: Martin, Bezzecchi, Bagnaia, MMarquez, Binder, Bastianini, Morbidelli, Vinales, RFernandez and Miller

In front it's hot, Bagnaia is very fast, he passes Bezzecchi and takes 2nd position... Martin, leader, has a 1.145s lead over the Ducati rider.

The positions are moving thanks to MMarquez who is putting on a show: he recovers 4th position after overtaking Bastianini. The Spaniard is motivated, in the process, he gets rid of Bezzecchi, he is 3rd now.
