Miller

This season is far from easy for Jack MillerIndeed, the Pramac Yamaha rider is only 18th in the general classification at the time of writing, without any podium finishes to his name. As usual, he has sometimes shone for a few moments, before falling back into total anonymity (or falling back altogether). But, this weekend, Miller is approaching his home Grand Prix: he knows Phillip Island better than anyone, and has already achieved some very good results there.

Miller has high hopes for the Australian round. « I can't wait to go to Phillip Island to race the Yamaha.Phillip Island is a track that should suit the bike well, with plenty of fast corners that help you maintain and build speed, so we should be able to do a good job. I'm really curious to see what we can achieve – apart from the immense pleasure of racing on home soil in front of so many fans who come to see me.  Fingers crossed we can put on a good show for them. » could be read in the columns of crash.net.

As a reminder, he had already won at Phillip Island during the 2014 season, when he was racing in Moto3. In MotoGP, he has a podium there, acquired during the 2019 season, when he officiated for Ducati Pramac. Inevitably, this brings back memories. « I still remember my first time there as a fan – it was in 2009, and I saw Julián Simon win the 125cc championshipAt the time, I was mainly doing motocross, but after discovering road racing, I already knew I wanted to be part of that world. It's a track that I love and where I've experienced great moments with podiums and victories. » he added.

Of course, we have to take current reality into account. But Miller believes in it. “The last few races have shown steady progress, so my approach this weekend will be to start strong from the first sessions, give my best and try to immediately find a good feeling with the bike. My goal is to reach Q2 again and fight for points in both races." he concluded.
