Imperial in Great Britain having won both the Sprint and the Austrian Grand Prix there MotoGP, Enea Bastianini had to settle for a 4th place in the Sprint and a 3rd place in the GP in Austria.

Enea Bastianini then shared his views during the post-race press conference, and as usual, we report his words here without the slightest formatting, even if it is translated from English.

Hello, welcome to the post-race press conference here at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, at the end of the 28 laps of the Austrian Grand Prix. The race winner is back at the top of the MotoGP World Championship, the reigning world champion, Ducati Lenovo Team rider Pecco Bagnaia. 9th Ducati victory in 11 Grands Prix here at the Red Bull Ring, Pecco 7th victory of the season, and 5 points ahead heading to Aragon in two weeks. From pole position, second place in the Sprint and second place in today's Grand Prix goes to Prima Pramac Racing's Jorge Martin, and Ducati Lenovo Team rider Enea Bastianini completes another all-time podium. Ducati, another all-Ducati GP24 podium.

Completing today's podium was Team Ducati Lenovo's Enea Bastianini. Enea, aggressive from the start, a good first lap, immediately from 7th to 3rd place, and we thought maybe you could fight for the victory like you did at Silverstone two weeks ago. Pecco and Jorge were just a bit stronger, however you must be happy that after a difficult Friday and Saturday, you were able to save your weekend by getting on the podium today...
Enea Bastianini : " Yes. In the end, we save a little bit of the weekend because I suffered a lot on Friday, a lot with the front, especially entering the corner, and today the race was a little better, and the start n It wasn't bad either. My pace was not the same as that of Pecco or Jorge, but after these difficult conditions in this Grand Prix we can be happy. »

Jorge, it's a circuit where everyone has to deal with a lot of blocking from the front because of the heat and the track. How do you deal with blocking from the front, because it's obviously a very delicate situation?
“For me, sometimes, like on this circuit, I suffered a lot from this blocking of the front, and on Friday I tried the hard tire at the front and it was better for this subject. But the left side was not good for me, it was a risk, because we have to make a lot of turns on the right side and when you go to the left side it's tricky. Plus, it was much colder today than other days. And as Jorge says, when you have a lot of transfer, you can approach this situation a little better. But for me today it was too difficult to control everything. That's how it is. »

Enea, usually when you are so close to the first at the start of the race, you use your ability to be stronger in the second part of the race. At the start or halfway through the race, did you think it was time to attack them?
“No, this moment has not arrived because this track is not like the usual tracks, it is strange, because we have to brake many times, and there is also a lot of braking in a straight line, and when you have to accelerate, you spin like the other drivers and there is nothing you can do to save the tire a little. I was just happy to be in third place today. »

What do Pecco and Jorge do better than you with the GP24?
“I think it's difficult to say because these two drivers are very different, their driving style is very different. Pecco sometimes has amazing braking points, sometimes he can brake very late compared to other Ducati riders, and Jorge is sometimes amazing in the middle of the corner, he has a lot of speed and sometimes with less angle, which is odd. But I think sometimes I have a mix of all of that and I can fight with both of these riders, but sometimes I suffer, like today, and I'm a little behind them. »
