Barely got off his Ducati GP19 from the satellite team Esponsorama Avintia Racing after obtaining the theoretical third place on the starting grid for the Styrian Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring, Johann zarco confided in front of the site camera MotoGP.com with the joy of having done some sort of feat, even if, because of his penalty, he will not benefit from it...

Johann, I think you are story of the day! Driving injured like that for the first time in your career proves that you are not crazy. And you make a first line! How do you feel ?

Johann zarco : " Very good, I am very happy! I was expecting a bit of rain to give me a little advantage but I got a first row in the dry, so that's good too. Friday I didn't drive but it was still interesting to see the other drivers on track, because I saw some differences. Today I was only focused on doing a few laps, but quality ones. This morning, I immediately felt very good. I was expecting to have more pain in my wrist, but when I saw that it wasn't very painful I was happy because it meant I could at least attack for a few rounds. But after a few rounds, the pain got worse. But yes, it's much better than we could have expected, because it was very close this morning. Not getting through to Q2 wouldn't have been a big tragedy because I'll be starting from the pit lane anyway. But I had good times in Q1 and Q2. I don't have a lot of words, so you just have to stick to the good stuff and I think I learned a lot today. »
