This weekend, all the attention of the Grand Prix planet will be focused on a Grand Prix of France which will mark the fifth meeting of the 2019 season. But in the shadows, we are already working on the next deadline which will take place in Italy, on the Mugello route. Three manufacturers went there to polish their weapons, with very different objectives. And Michelin was there.

In just over two weeks, MotoGP will return to Italy for the Mugello Grand Prix. To avoid being caught off guard, three teams decided to carry out an important test session with their test riders on the Tuscan track: Ducati, Aprilia and KTM. The Desmosedici of Borgo Panigale is particularly anticipated. She deployed her trusty tester Michele Pirro to begin studying the settings of the Desmosedici GP19 in preparation for the first of its two home races. Since Misano will honor the San Marino Grand Prix.

The same goes for Aprilia, which used its tester Bradley Smith to carry out the technical work which, during the weekend, will then be entrusted to the two pilots Andrea Iannone et Aleix Espargaro. As for KTM, the objective is always to improve a bike which, for the moment, has not met expectations, but which has just been briefly taken in hand by a Dani Pedrosa almost recovered.

Alongside the three teams, Michelin also came to the circuit near Florence to test the tires chosen for the Grand Prix.
