Jack Miller is not a complicated man to live with, a state of mind which sometimes leads him to go against the grain of his colleagues in certain news stirring the paddock. In an interview with speedweek, for example, he expressed his opinion on the perspective of 44 races soon to be disputed over a season in a new format version, as he gave his opinion that the quality of Michelin tires, particularly vilified by the team Pramac and George Martin who were playing for the world title.

This is what I like and from my point of view, the more shopping we do, the faster the year goes by. What about Michelin tires? “ I understand that sometimes one tire performs less well than another, that's how life is. This can also happen when you buy a car or something else. When people make things by hand, there will always be differences ". And he remembers: “ I went through a very difficult moment when I lost the world championship to Alex Marquez in Moto3 in 2014, and I spent a lot of time blaming a lot of people – except myself. In fact, it was me who lost the title and no one else, it was my fault. There were so many races where the bike was working, where I did a good job – until a stupid mistake happened ».
Et Jack Miller remember : " in this world, it's sometimes hard to admit it, but everyone has a day when their tires are bad. Sometimes you get lucky because it happens in FP2, other times it happens in a GP race ».
But where does this state of mind that is sometimes so different from the rest of his colleagues come from? From his experience… “ When you come to Europe and live with other people, you don't look for unnecessary problems. Otherwise you might leave home on a plane and have no place to sleep.
