It's a slightly more relaxed Fabio Quartararo who presents himself this weekend on the Montmeló track. It must be said that he left Misano with his nerves on edge, after learning that he had been penalized by three seconds at the finish line for having played too much with the limits of the track. The Frenchman lost the podium, but he still remains in contention for a championship that is more open than ever. In Catalonia, he hopes to be able to take advantage of a track which brought him great satisfaction in 2018…
At that time, the Frenchman was one hope among others in Moto2 but he stood out from the crowd by delivering a masterful performance which would take him to victory aboard the Speed-Up. The following year, which was last year, he played first place with Marc Marquez. On pace since this will be his third race in as many weekends, the driver Petronas Yamaha hopes to take revenge for two stages in Misano which left him with a taste of unfinished business.

A long straight line to digest
It remains that Yamaha may suffer on a particular part of the Catalan route… “ It is true that the straight line is one kilometer long, so we will have to work on a good set-up. Our top speed wasn't very good last year, but we still managed to get on the podium. This means we are strong on other sections of the course », underlined the double winner of the season.
