On paper, Andrea Dovizioso is the leader of the MotoGP world championship with one point ahead of Fabio Quartararo and Maverick Viñales.

However, the official Ducati rider is far from giving the impression of dominating his opponents, and the last two Grands Prix contested at Misano reflect this, with a 7th and an 8th place added to his record.

While nine drivers are in 26 points, we suspect that this hierarchy will not last long if “Dovi” does not react effectively, and the unease is all the more present as Pecco Bagnaia demonstrated with such mastery that the GP 20 could be devilishly more effective than what the man who declares himself “Unemployed” showed on his land…

Paradoxically, it is therefore on the relatively loose Catalunya – Barcelona circuit that the Italian's response is expected, because after all, there is still no boss in this category which is still orphaned by its champion!

Andrea Dovizioso : " During the last two GPs, we unfortunately were not competitive enough, but we try to see the positive side of the two races in Misano: We are at the top of the classification, even if the fight is open. We still lack speed, and if we want to be able to fight for the championship title, we can't waste any more time. We will have to adapt to the asphalt of Montmeló, which will certainly have less grip than that of Misano, and this could prove decisive for everyone. I am sure that if we continue working as we have been doing in recent weeks, we will soon achieve better results. »
