Fabio Quartararo likes McLarens but he has just brought a second BMW M version into his garage which he took possession of in Valencia. It didn't cost him anything because he simply deserved it. Indeed, and despite Pecco Bagnaia's final sprint, it was the French World Champion who won a competition that the Bavarian manufacturer set up 19 seasons ago. It rewards the best driver of the season in qualifying…

fabio quartararo can thank George Martin who prevented Valencia Pecco Bagnaia to add one more leading position to his statistics. An outcome which allowed the official pilot Yamaha to the five pole positions and 318 points in this specific ranking, to win, for 15 points more than his runner-up, a gleaming BMW M5 CS a value of 207 300 euros. It's his second sports BMW that he puts in his garage after the model M2 CS that he gave to his father... But that he still drives if we listen to his comment at the time of handing over the keys which took place in the presence of Franciscus van Meel, CEO of BMW M GmbH, and Carmelo Ezpeleta that we no longer present.

« I am delighted to have won the BMW M Award again in 2021, after taking my first victory last year“, declared the world champion MotoGP. " I really like driving the BMW M2 CS from the BMW M Award 2020, and I must say that the new BMW M5 CS obviously caught my attention as soon as it was presented as this year's prize. Even from the outside you can guess its power and performance. It's great to have won it and to be able to take it home. Many thanks to BMW M, who have been involved in MotoGP for so many years, and who highlight and recognize our performances as riders with the BMW M Award ».
