Aprilia

From the 2023 season, four Aprilia RS-GPs will compete in the MotoGP category of the World Championship. Aprilia Racing and the RNF Racing team have in fact signed an agreement valid for two seasons, renewable for two additional years. For the first time in its young MotoGP history, Aprilia will have a satellite team.

After the positive start of the 2022 season and the confirmation of the factory team drivers Aleix Espargaró et Maverick Vinales for the next two years, the agreement which will see the number of motorcyclesAprilia on track doubling is a new step on the path to growth, both technical and organizational, that the racing department based in Noale has set itself as an objective in MotoGP.

The philosophy with which Aprilia addressing this opportunity is consistent with what has been done so far. Collaboration with RNF Racing will not be limited to the sale of RS-GP but will involve a strong synergy which will lead Aprilia Racing to invest in the partnership for the training of engineers, technicians, managers and of course drivers. A multi-year program which, it is hoped in Noale, will lead to the expansion, consolidation and improvement of a technical and management culture which represents the heritage of the Italian factory.

Between Aprilia and RNF Racing a real synergy will be sought

Massimo rivola commented : " I am happy to announce the agreement with RNF Racing. We have always taken small steps and as we demonstrate the competitiveness of our RS-GP, a natural part of the journey is to see two others on track. It is a true heritage of know-how and technical culture applied to high-performance motorcycles as well as sports management. With RNF Racing we find a partner to promote and enhance this extraordinary heritage. We are of course thinking of pilots and the best competitiveness, but also of training new generations of engineers, technicians and managers.. Continuing and improving the extraordinary all-Italian tradition of Aprilia Racing ».

Razlan Razali added : " we are absolutely delighted about this long-term partnership with Aprilia Racing. Our philosophy remains to work with the factory team to develop riders who will one day become Aprilia factory riders. We will assist them in development to ensure we continue to be competitive and ultimately win with Aprilia Racing. Aprilia Racing's proposal fulfills our long-term plans, our strategies and security for the next two plus two years and I have to thank Aprilia Racing for their confidence in us. We absolutely cannot wait for next year and start this new partnership. At the same time, we would like to express our gratitude to Yamaha for these past years of working and growing together. We will, however, maintain our goal of working hard this season in order to improve our results with Yamaha and ultimately conclude 2022 on a good note ».
