Danilo Petrucci

This weekend, Suzuki should cause a sensation in its box by welcoming Danilo Petrucci in place of Joan Mir who is still convalescing. A prospect which had been discussed at Misano but which could not be brought to fruition since Petrux was still fighting for the MotoAmerica title. Which is no longer the case...

Danilo Petrucci should make a comeback in MotoGP from this weekend in Thailand. It's the media AS who assures him, now that the Italian has finished his season in MotoAmerica on the Ducati. The former of KTM and two-time Grand Prix winner with Ducati would replace a Joan mir who is still not fit to return to service with his convalescent injury since his fall in Austria, and his premature return to Aragon.

The Italian will have 32 years old next October and he is a true racing veteran with 169 games behind him, all in MotoGP. In addition to the two victories mentioned, at Mugello 2019, in a last lap duel with Marquez et Dovizioso, and Le Mans 2020, in the rain, he still has eight podiums, four in second and four in third. We are awaiting official confirmation. In passing, we would point out that in the ranks of LCR Honda, nothing is less certain than that we find a Taka Nakagami hand in very bad shape.

Danilo Petrucci 2022 MotoAmerica runner-up but the news is; the return to MotoGP!
