GASGAS Factory Racing Tech3 will continue to showcase some of the best and brightest Spanish talent in MotoGP, as Augusto Fernandez et Peter Acosta will launch into the 2024 championship with the RC16 GASGAS.

Reigning Moto2™ world champion and remarkable debutant in 2023 in MotoGP, Augusto Fernandez will remain with the GASGAS Factory Racing Tech3 team for his second term at the highest level. The 26-year-old Mallorcan attracted attention by scoring points in all but two of the season's 14 Grands Prix, and achieved a 4th place at the French Grand Prix, his best result staff. In Japan last weekend he achieved his second best finish with a 7th place in difficult rainy conditions at Motegi. Augusto has shown potential and maturity as he progresses in his adaptation to the 16 GASGAS RC2023. He will be joined by the man who could be next to aim for Moto2 gold.

Peter Acosta is only in his third full season in the world championship, but the prolific 19-year-old has already won the Moto3 title (2021), Moto2 Grands Prix as a rookie (2022) and claimed 11 podiums in 14 rounds this year, which allows him to take the lead in the standings with more than 50 points in advance. Acosta has the ability, racing savvy and natural talent to join the MotoGP grid and complete a remarkable journey through the company's talent structure, from winning the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup to 2020 until that of premier category driver in 2024.

The GASGAS Factory Racing Tech3 driver, Pol Espargaro, will occupy a crucial and highly appreciated position in the Pierer Mobility Motorsport project next year. The likeable 32-year-old was involved in the joint decision regarding the short and long-term future of the company's MotoGP goals. Pol is highly appreciated for his commitment and experience, from the early days of the Pierer Mobility Group's involvement in MotoGP to his desire to return to competition after an injury at the start of 2023. #44 is an important asset in supporting talented young athletes and maintaining the strength of the current racing organization, and his humility is demonstrated by his willingness to help the next generation who hope to follow in his footsteps. Pol’s character, energy and ability mean he will remain an important member of the MotoGP program on both sides of the pit wall.

Pit Beirer, GASGAS motorsport director: “We had an important and difficult decision to make for our GASGAS team for 2024. Augusto has made an impressive first steps in MotoGP and we are completely convinced that he has the speed and intelligence to continue progressing. Pedro is a very special talent who has already won so much, so quickly, and 2024 will be an opportunity for him to learn how to take the next step with the big boys of MotoGP. I want to thank Pol for everything he has done and continues to do for us. This guy is super tough and super determined and that's why we want to count on him as an important part of our structure. Pol's openness and proactivity deserve my greatest respect. The fact that he gave us a helping hand in this situation highlights his greatness as a person. It also shows his passion for the sport and his ideas for the future. With these elements in place and with Hervé, Nicolas and the entire team and their experience, we have an exciting year ahead of us for the GASGAS brand.”
