Repsol

This is news that was not necessarily self-evident since the Repsol brand released a post clearly showing its disappointment with the technical developments taken by a MotoGP which left its partner Honda on the sidelines of the track. A post that exuded like a melancholy of a past time conducive to departure. But since then Marc Marquez has returned and shown that there is still hope, even if the road will still be long. So it's good, Repsol and Honda will continue until 2024, which is also the last year of Marc Marquez's contract...

Repsol et Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) joined forces for the first time in 1995, in a historic alliance in the world of sport, combining passion, technology and constant search for innovation. During these 28 years, the team Repsol Honda has become a benchmark team in the world of motorcycle sport, particularly in the MotoGP world championship. A story full of success has also been a story of innovation, talent and teamwork, meeting the ongoing challenges to stay at the top, season after season.

Repsol Honda: December 31, 2024 also marks the end of Marc Marquez's current contract

However, recent seasons have been less successful for the Repsol Honda Team, even if they served as a basis for progress in preparing for the future. In this demanding context, Repsol renews its collaboration with HRC for two additional seasons, until December 31, 2024, date on which the 30th anniversary of their alliance will be celebrated. The goal from 2023 is clear: to be the best in MotoGP again.

Team Repsol Honda holds 183 victories and 15 rider titles in the motorcycle world championship. More than half of the premier class world titles won since 1995 have gone to the team. In addition, the Repsol-Honda collaboration made it possible to win dix world team championships since the award's inception in 2002. She has also achieved a record 454 podiums in 500cc and MotoGP, thanks to drivers such as Mick Doohan, Álex Crivillé, Valentino Rossi, Nicky Hayden, Casey Stoner, Dani Pedrosa and Marc Marquez. A necessary reminder because for two years, we have been talking about it more than about Ducati.
