Twenty-two years after its last appearance, the MotoGP returns to Brazil, on the Autódromo Internacional de Goiânia – Ayrton Senna, a track that Franco Morbidelli already knows the area, having participated in an event there last year riding a standard Ducati Panigale.

But the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team rider, of Brazilian origin, will be competing in his first Grand Prix in his "second home." Expectations are therefore high, both for him and for the entire Tavullia team, which will be sporting a special livery paying tribute to Brazil.

7th after pre-season testing, both in Sepang and Buriram, " Franky » could not maintain this level during the Practice in Thailand (13th) due to bad timing, but recovered well in Q1 to ultimately qualify 9th on the grid.

14th in the Sprint with a braking problem, number 21 also had problems at the start of the Grand Prix, finding himself 19th on the 5th lap, before making a great comeback which saw him cross the finish line in 8th position.

The 8 points earned place him 9th in the championship and, after this somewhat rollercoaster start, the Roman has high expectations for this first match in Brazil…

Franco Morbidelli : "The Brazilian Grand Prix will be a home race for me, and I intend to make the most of it!"
We will have to do an excellent job; we will arrive with great enthusiasm and enormous energy.
I already visited the Goiânia circuit last year: the layout is very interesting, it almost looks like a stadium. It seems very fast, we'll see how it performs in MotoGP.
I will also have the chance to have some of my mother's family present, who have never seen me run, so I'm really looking forward to it.
This is definitely one of the races I've been most looking forward to in recent years: being in Brazil will be truly special!
