Already, This morning, FP1, like the other sessions, was delayed by an hour due to a violent downpour that occurred shortly before the start of activities.

This afternoon, even before the first run of the pre-qualifying session, white flags with red crosses were being waved, indicating a few drops of rain.

From then on, all the drivers rushed onto the track to secure a timed lap before it deteriorated, as it inevitably would given the large black clouds brought by a strong wind over the circuit.

In these very precarious conditions, we are familiar with the extremely rapid implementation of Johann zarcoand this one immediately positioned itself behind Marc Marquez, before taking the lead by achieving 1'22.767 in the first five minutes of a session that comprised 60.

The Frenchman then improved by continuing his effort, 1'22.767, 1'22.266, let his tires cool for a lap, then clocked 1'21.257, a time that he was not going to be beaten.

Shortly afterwards, the weather was indeed deteriorating, leading to successive falls of Brad Binder, Jack Millerthen Diogo Moreirathe latter having accomplished some great things previously

Franco Morbidelli then experienced a technical problem, then the rookie Toprak Razgatlioglu achieved a kind of feat by finishing 3rd!

The last half hour then took place in conditions that were not very usable, as the track was neither really wet nor really dry.

Most of the drivers preferred to stay in their garages even before the end of the session, somewhat disillusioned by these very unusual conditions.

PS: A technical issue disrupted the usual broadcast of our LIVE stream.
