Arriving on the Czech track with two blank results on the clock, the Spanish driver did not hide his dissatisfaction, but he and his team worked a lot and changed their settings and the work has paid off for the moment.
Eleventh in FP1 on Friday morning, he progressed to seventh position in FP2 and confirmed in FP3 with the sixth time, thus ensuring automatic qualification in Q2. Author of two excellent laps, he finally qualified in fourth place and signed his best qualification with Aprilia since Japan in 2017!
