This press conference of the Grand Prix from the Czech Republic MotoGP 2025 met in Brno Marc Marquez, Marco Bezzechi et Peter Acosta for their debriefing, after another almost perfect weekend for the #93 who won the Sprint and the GP for the 5th consecutive time, the 7th this year.

Marc Marquez claimed his 70th MotoGP victory and his fifth consecutive victory for the first time since 2019 (5 consecutive wins from San Marino to Australia). This is his fourth MotoGP victory at Brno, following those in 2013, 2017 and 2019. He became the first Ducati rider to achieve five consecutive MotoGP victories. He secured his eighth one-two (Sprint and GP victories) of the season, taking his own record for most one-twos in a single season to eight, which he continues to improve as the 2025 season progresses. He is also the first rider to achieve five consecutive one-twos (having already set a new record with his third consecutive at Assen). He now leads the world championship with 381 points, 120 ahead of his brother Alex who crashed.

As usual, we report here in full the words of the latter, without the slightest formatting, even if it is translated from English.

🎤 Hello everyone, welcome to the post-race press conference for the Tissot Grand Prix of the Czech Republic, our first visit to Brno since 2020. We are with the top three riders. Congratulations to Ducati Lenovo Team rider Marc Marquez. Marc made history today here in the Czech Republic, becoming the first Ducati rider to win five consecutive Grands Prix. Of course, he also won the sprint yesterday. To Marc's right, we have Aprilia Racing rider Marco Bezzecchi, who has taken two podiums in the last three Grands Prix. Another great job from this brilliant rider. And for the first time in 2025, we have Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider Pedro Acosta on the podium. What a brilliant weekend for Pedro, who had never raced here before, at Bruno, in any class, and who finished on the podium in both the sprint and the Grand Prix. Gentlemen, congratulations to all three of you! It's incredible to be back in Brno, incredible to race in front of this incredible crowd today.

🎤 Marc, you made history, you're the first Ducati rider to win five consecutive races. You're going on vacation very, very happy, I'm sure.
Marc Marquez : “Yes, I would like to have a race next week (laughs) because we are in a very good run, but it is important to rest. And yes, I am aware of what we have done during this first part of the season: it is true that it has been super good, one of the best first parts of the season of my career, like in 2019, you can say that. And yes, now we are in a very good run, the team is working very well and the bike is working well. So, all these things, trying to always manage my instinct and not attack every lap (laughs), just trying to control myself, it helps a lot to continue with this consistency.”

🎤 A tough and spectacular battle, as you can see from the footage. You clashed early on with Pecco, your teammate, and then with Marco. We know how much you like that attack in Turn 3. How tough was that battle, and how comfortable did you feel once you were in the lead?
Marc Marquez: “Yes, I mean the plan was to try to lead the race from the beginning and manage it the way I wanted. But then when Marco overtook me, he was braking super late, with really good corner speed. So I decided to wait behind him, and when I felt the first drops in tire performance, that's when I attacked, because that's when I start to play better with the bike. As always, in the second half of the race, I feel better and better. And yes, I managed the gap after that, and that was enough to take the 25 points.”

🎤 It's been five years this weekend since Jerez in 2020, where what we could call a nightmare began for you. And today, you're living a dream with Ducati. You've had an incredible first half of the season, as you said, Marc. We saw you celebrating with the fans, climbing on the fence... These are sweet moments after everything that happened five years ago...
Marc Marquez: “Yes, as you saw, last year was a crucial year. Because the Gresini team gave me the opportunity to come back, and then, yes, I was riding very well—not perfectly, but little by little, I regained more and more confidence in myself. But I must say that during these five years, I may have lost, in my professional life, the opportunity to fight for titles due to injuries. But at the same time, I grew enormously in my personal life. So… It’s never pleasant to go through difficult times, but sometimes it helps a person to see things differently, or even to change their character in certain situations.”

🎤 Marc, you made a kind of comparison between now and 2019, probably your best season so far. But if we watch you on track, especially this weekend and especially today, it seems like everything is perfect. Can you explain, to someone who doesn't know much about racing like me, what it feels like on the bike, and where you think you can still gain time or improve your feeling?
Marc Marquez: “Yes, it’s true that I’ve changed my riding style, especially after my injuries, because I’m no longer allowed to ride aggressively for many laps. This has forced me to adapt my style to my new physical condition, which works well, but I have to ride differently. That’s one thing. Then, with the bike, I feel very good. When you’re fighting with the bike, sometimes you’re even slower. And now it seems that the more fluid I am, the faster I am. That’s something I like, because at that level, physical condition, general effort, it’s less demanding. So, there you go. We’ll see, but we have to keep progressing, because we know there are still areas where we can improve. But you can never have a perfect bike.”

🎤 Marc, in these races where you're really dominant, is there a concern about losing concentration? Do you have to be careful to stay focused in the final laps?
Marc Marquez: “(Laughs) Well, of course, one of the reasons I made a mistake in Austin was precisely because I lost concentration. Then there's the problem and the solution: if you make a mistake, you have to work on it. That's what I did, and it seems that now I'm better at keeping my concentration. It wasn't a weak point in my career, but sometimes when you have a big lead, it's difficult to keep the same intensity. Today, for example, on some laps I was pushing more, on others a little less, simply to play with my mentality, and not with the limits of the bike.”

🎤 Marc, you now have a 120-point lead over Alex in the championship heading into the second half of the season. You could still break many records, such as most wins in a season or highest points total. Are these goals that can motivate you at this stage, given the comfortable gap in the standings?
Marc Marquez: "For me, the main and only priority is to win the championship. And to be honest, right now I can only lose it (through my own fault). There are ten races left, I have to keep the same mindset, the team also has to keep the same dynamic, and we just have to keep giving our all. As for records, that doesn't interest me. I just want to be world champion again."

🎤 Marc, in 2014, you won 11 races in a row. Today, you become the first Ducati rider to win five races in a row. Do you think that with your current mindset and in today's MotoGP, it would be possible to beat your own record?
Marc Marquez: “As I said, records exist of course, but that's not the most important thing. When we talk about a record again, it's usually because a driver is getting close to it. The main objective is to try to win. Now, for the second half of the season, the objective is clear: to try to clinch the championship, and that will remain the absolute priority. Yes, five consecutive victories, it's true that we've already done it in the past, but personally, I think today it's even more difficult. Because now there's a Sprint race in addition to the main race. Over the last five weekends, I've taken 37 points each time, which is even more complicated than winning only on Sunday.”

🎤 Marc, you now have a 120-point lead over your brother. You might not even make it to the last four races. Have you considered the possibility of clinching your ninth world title at Misano?
Marc Marquez: (Laughs) I don't think it's possible. There are still a lot of races left, between the Sprints and the Grands Prix. I have the experience of 2014, where I tried to wrap up the championship as early as possible, and I crashed at Misano, then at Aragon. So I have to remember all that. It's true that we have a big lead, but there will also be a lot of races back-to-back, so we have to stay focused, without putting pressure on ourselves. I've already had to deal with a lot of pressure during this first half of the season. Now, with this lead, the pressure is less, but we have to continue to manage each situation well. Of course, I'll try to take the 37 points every weekend, but sometimes it's just not possible.

🎤 Marc, this weekend, Ducati didn't have much information, unlike usual, because this circuit is new to the calendar. Did you work differently, given that this time you had to work harder on your own?
Marc Marquez:
"No, we worked the same way, with the same set-up as for the races at Sachsenring, Assen, Mugello, and Aragon. No, at Aragon it was different, but otherwise, we work the same way. They have a lot of tools. Everyone has access to these tools, but they know how to use them perfectly. They are very intelligent in analyzing all the parameters, and they manage to get the most out of every situation. So I feel very comfortable. As we saw yesterday, having less information complicated things a little with the tire pressure, but today everything was done, everything was set, and the bike worked perfectly."

🎤 Marc, how satisfying is it to win a race where only two Ducatis finished in the top 10? Because from the outside, it means that you were the one who really made the difference, even more so than on other occasions. Does this victory have a different flavor?
Marc Marquez: “No, I’m happier when Alex finishes second and Pecco third. Or the other way around, to avoid creating… (laughs), but a brother is a brother, you know? (laughs) But it’s true that for me, we’re a team, and I want the best for Ducati. If more Ducatis are in front, it means the bike is working perfectly. It’s true that this weekend we suffered a little more because the very high grip put a lot of strain on the front tire. But we had time, so it was up to the rider to adapt to these conditions.”

🎤 What is your biggest fear?
"To hurt me."
