Fabio Di Giannantonio Brno

Fabio Di Giannantonio suffered his first poor performance of the season in Brno and never managed to get away from the bottom of the table.

Fabio DiGiannantonio had his worst Grand Prix of the season, and so begins the summer break on a sour note. From the beginning to the end of the weekend, the Italian never managed to get into the rhythm and was at the back of the standings, a situation we were not used to this year.

After a complicated Friday, contested in mixed conditions and in the wet, he failed to advance to Q2, but this seemed to be just a mistake. Having finished third in FP2 on Saturday morning in the dry, he was logically one of the favorites for Q1, but finished third, and was therefore the first driver to fail the session.

It was only the third time this season, but he had managed to rectify the situation when it happened to him in Thailand and France. Against all expectations, he also lacked pace in the race, which caused him to fall in the sprint race, and a distant 16th place in the main race on Sunday, from which he hardly moved throughout the entire race.

A poor performance that By Giannantonio did not try to hide behind excuses and that he fully assumed his responsibility when debriefing his Grand Prix. "It was a difficult weekend overall. We didn't have the same feeling as we had in the last few races. It was great to be back in Brno, the circuit is incredible, but we just couldn't find the right direction to go fast.", he began.

"I take full responsibility. I need to be more specific with the team to give better feedback on my feelings. The conditions and difficulties on Friday may have influenced my performance, but I have to be honest with myself. We were all in the same boat and I missed out. We just need to pull ourselves together, refocus and leave with the good feelings from the last races in Austria."
