Fabio Quartararo Brno

Fabio Quartararo had a "decent race" in Brno, and once again noted the inferiority of his Yamaha in certain areas.

fabio quartararo leaves the Czech Republic with 15 points scored and another solid Grand Prix, after the German Grand Prix where he achieved a podium and a fourth place last week. Qualifying on the front row this weekend, he finished in the top 5 yesterday in the sprint race, and also moved into the leading group today, even though he is obviously aiming for much more.

Passed by Marco Bezzecchi at the start of the Grand Prix, he finished the first lap in fourth place, before also being overtaken by Pedro Acosta on the following lap. He dropped to seventh position, then regained one after Enea Bastianini's crash on lap six. From then on, he remained in sixth place until the checkered flag.

After several complicated Grands Prix, he confirmed his return to the front of the pack, even if he still lacks the pace to be able to regularly claim a podium finish. A situation that seems to be tiring for the Yamaha rider, who made no secret of his satisfaction at turning the page on this first part of the season and going on vacation to take a breather.

"We always struggle in the first five laps. That's where we're struggling, where we're trying to improve, but then the pace we had during the race is the pace we have. We know very well that the other brands in front have a little bit more grip, more power. We know that's very important here, but I think we had a pretty decent race.", he declared on the microphone of Canal +.

"I'm happy to be going on vacation because, honestly, it's been a very long first part of the season with the private tests we've had. It's been very long, but now we have to make the most of it and we're going to join our friends."

MotoGP will indeed be taking its summer break for the next four weeks. The season is scheduled to resume with the Austrian Grand Prix from August 15th to 17th.
