Bagnaia, MotoGP

MotoGP is making its grand return to Brno, five years after its last appearance on the calendar. On the hilly and demanding Automotodrom circuit (4,423 km), Saturday's qualifying session delivered its verdict: Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati) will start from pole position after setting a superb 1'52.303, ahead of Marc Márquez (Ducati) and Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha), who also set very fast times.

Behind this trio of world champions, Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia) is first on a second row completed by Joan Mir (Honda) and Raul Fernandez (Aprilia). All three are within a tenth of a second of each other at the end of Q2.

Another highlight of the weekend was the return of Jorge Martin, who hadn't raced since his injury in Qatar. On his return, the reigning world champion secured the essentials by qualifying directly for Q2, and will start twelfth. A solid performance given the circumstances. Meanwhile, Johann Zarco (Honda), a consistent performer throughout practice, secured his place in the heart of third place.

The races promise to be exciting, on one of the most technical circuits in the championship. The MotoGP Czech GP Sprint will start at 15:00 PM this Saturday.
