The weather played havoc with the pre-qualifying sessions for the 2025 Czech Grand Prix at the Brno circuit, the twelfth round of the MotoGP World Championship. Riders had to contend with a soggy track, which gradually dried out towards the end of the session, allowing some riders to drastically improve their times—still on wet tires.
Already dominant during FP1, Marc Marquez once again demonstrated his talent, setting the fastest time in 2'03.935 on his Ducati GP25. The eight-time world champion finished ahead of John Zarco, always formidable in these delicate conditions, which finished second at 0,469 seconds on the sling lcr.

Bagnaia trapped, tension in the Ducati box in Brno
Enea Bastianini (KTM Tech3) achieved his best performance of the season with a direct qualification in Q2. He preceded Alex Marquez (Gresini Ducati) and Peter Acosta (KTM Factory), which closes the top 10.

On the other hand, big disappointment for Pecco Bagnaia. Only 13th, the triple world champion including two times with Ducati will have to go through Q1, just like Fabio DiGiannantonio. Davide Tardozzi quickly spoke out to defend his driver, explaining that a tire error (soft instead of medium) had compromised his end of the session.
At the back of the peloton, Luca marini (Honda Factory) set the final time, a surprising performance after his 6th place at the Sachsenring and a good pace in FP1. The staff Honda remains cautious, awaiting technical analyses and the return of the Italian driver.
The trap of Brno has already left a few victims, and the qualifications promise twists and turns. Pecco Bagnaia will have to show their claws in Q1 to stay in the title race.
