After a week's break following the Hungarian Grand Prix, Aprilia Racing heads into the ninth round of the season. MotoGP on the legendary Brno circuit with Marco Bezzecchi et George Martin.
The Italian driver, leader of the World Championship with a 20-point lead over his Spanish teammate, will arrive in the Czech Republic with the objective of turning the page on a particularly complicated Hungarian Sunday and getting back into the fight at the front.
We remember of course that although he was able to salvage the essentials by finishing 3rd in the Sprint after a disappointing start to the weekend at Balaton Park, he then fell victim to the impetuosity of his box partner from the very first corner of the Grand Prix, immediately losing any possibility of scoring big points.
A catastrophic racing incident for the overall standings, but one that undoubtedly conceals another, longer-term danger: the return to form of Marc Marquez !
Certainly, number 93 keeps proclaiming that he is not yet at his peak, that the Hungarian circuit favored him because it turns left, and that it will not be the same in the Czech Republic, but we know his unwavering determination and we remember that, as at Balaton Park last year, he also achieved victory in the Sprint and the Grand Prix at Brno…
From 102 points behind after Mugello, the Cervera team is now 72 points behind. Without", while there are still 12 appointments to attend, meaning a maximum of 444 points to be scored!
The danger is therefore clearly identified and Marco Bezzecchi is well aware of this, on the eve of the second edition after the return to the calendar of a Brno circuit where Max Biaggi, brand ambassador for Noale, who has won four victories in 250cc, two in 500cc, one in MotoGP and four in Superbike, including three with Aprilia Racing.
Marco BezzecchiAs for him, he had fared very well in Brno last year, finishing 4th in the Sprint and 3rd in the GP, just behind a duo Marc Marquez – Pedro Acosta which really livened up the weekend in Hungary: the clash in the Czech Republic promises to be interesting!
Marco Bezzecchi: “I’m extremely happy to be returning to Brno. It’s a fantastic circuit where driving the RS-GP26 provides a special feeling. I’m also very happy to see my team again. After Sunday at Balaton, which was quite difficult for the whole team, I’m really looking forward to seeing them all again and trying to have a good weekend, enjoying ourselves and working efficiently.”
