Enea Bastianini is getting closer to finalizing his contract for 2025, his manager Carlo Pernat has revealed. Following the announcement of Ducati preferring Marc Marquez for the factory seat, Bastianini will find himself out of the official team. This decision also pushed Jorge Martin to sign with Aprilia. Bastianini, for his part, is ready to join Tech3 GASGAS, but Pernat insists this is not a simple return to a satellite team.
« I can say that I have an agreement with KTM to provide an official KTM to Enea, " said Feathered à Moto sprint. " We are finalizing the details, but the agreement is in place, so I can say that Enea will race with KTM next year."
Next year, KTM will promote Pedro Acosta of Tech3 GASGAS to its factory team, alongside Brad Binder. The future of Jack Miller andAugusto Fernandez remains uncertain, but the arrival of bastianini could push at least one of them towards the exit.
« I have the contract with KTM for an official bike, for the rest I can't say anything else,” teased Feathered. " The announcement will certainly come this week."
Carlo Pernat: “ I am not a manager who brings a rider, mid-season, into the Aprilia truck with an Aprilia rider »
En parallèle, George Martin de Pramac signed to join the factory team ofAprilia in 2025, replacing Aleix Espargaró who is retiring. However, the future of Maverick Vinales in Aprilia is not yet confirmed, which could mean the need to recruit a second factory driver.
Feathered emphasizes that it is not increasing negotiations with other manufacturers. “ 100% no, there is no contact with another house,” he said. “ I am a manager of a certain type: for me, the announcement must always be made by the manufacturer, after prior contact."
« I'm not a manager who brings a rider, mid-season, into the Aprilia truck with an Aprilia rider, because that's not something that comes from a professional environment, " he added. “ There are contracts and they must be respected. Obviously, I won't mention any names, but I have always behaved well with everyone and I continue to do so."
