It was Alex Rins who exorcised in a beautiful way at Mugello the demons encountered at Le Mans which now presents itself at Montmeló, the track of this weekend's Catalan Grand Prix. Third in the championship and constant threat for victory at the last meeting in Italy, the Spaniard does not hide that this track near Barcelona could well suit his GSX-RR for a new feat...

Alex Rins finished on the podium three times at Catalunya, in Moto3 – second in 2013 – and in Moto2 – second in 2015 and 2016. Last year, Kidneys was competing in a MotoGP for the first time while missing the race in 2017 due to a left wrist injury suffered in Austin. He qualified in 15th place, but exited the race on lap 12 in 20th position.

This time, he has everything he needs for the story to be written differently: “ I'm really looking forward to this weekend, because the track in Barcelona is very similar to Mugello. It should therefore accommodate our Suzuki GSX-RR well. » said the Suzuki official. “ I'm looking forward to it and with great confidence, because in Italy it was easy to see that we had a good configuration for this type of track. At the moment things are going very well, we have made good progress, we have achieved results and we have clear ideas on areas for improvement ».

Furthermore, the two Suzuki Ecstar drivers, alex rins et Joan mir will receive reinforcement from Sylvain Guintoli, MotoGP wildcard rider, for this Catalan Grand Prix on the “Circuit de Barcelona – Catalunya”. “ The development work with the Suzuki test team is going very well for me,” explained Guintoli. “In Barcelona, I will finally feel the joy and thrill of riding in the premier category again. It's been a long time since I've competed in a race since my last Grand Prix, so I'm particularly happy to be in Barcelona. Forza Suzuki! ».
