What a day for Fabio DiGiannantonio In Catalonia! The Ducati VR46 rider experienced it all, from crashing in the first race due to debris from Alex Marquez's bike, to winning the GP, his second career victory. The Italian, of course, had to restrain himself because of the unknown condition of Alex Marquez and Johann Zarco, the two riders injured that day, but he struggled to contain his emotion in parc fermé. This well-deserved victory, snatched after some magnificent overtaking maneuvers, puts him back in contention in the overall standings.
Fabio Di Giannantonio finally gets his first victory of the season. However, it started badly with that unfortunate crash caused by the collision between Alex Marquez and Pedro Acosta. « We were lucky today, and knowing that we are all more or less fit is already a great victory for sport. I remember seeing Alex in the grass, an explosion, I hid under the bubble even though it doesn't protect much, I closed my eyes. When I felt the impact, I tried to stay on the motorcycle but I couldn't » he declared for Sky Sports.

I'm happy with the win; we put in an incredible performance.I felt pretty good, the team helped me get back into the swing of things, I tried to find the right rhythm, it's never easy because you don't know how the others are doing, but in the end, there's immense respect between us. As for the race itself, I'm very happy The guys on the team provided me with an incredible bike; I felt really good. We knew I had a great opportunity today. » he added.

Thanks to his victory and Pedro Acosta's fall in the last corner, "Diggia" is getting much closer to the top of the world championship, still occupied by Marco Bezzecchi. Since finishing third, he has never been so involved in the game.
