Alex Rins had a Catalan Grand Prix to forget, finishing in 20th and very last position on the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. After a promising start, he had to go off the line to avoid hitting the other drivers at the first corner, which relegated him to last position. Vibration problems then compromised its race.
« It was a really tough race, " said Alex Rins after the test. “ It all started right from the start. The start from 8th place wasn't bad, but I was so close to hitting Jorge Martin that I had to go through the long lap and found myself in last position."
Kidneys tried to move up the peloton and manage his tires, but the vibrations from his bike made the task almost impossible. “ I tried to recover a few positions and ride as gently as possible to manage the tires, but everything seemed to work in a slightly strange way. The bike and the tires were pushing a lot, really too much: this had never happened before."
Alex Rins: “ we need to understand what happened »
Despite his efforts to adapt to the difficult conditions, Rins was unable to regain a competitive pace. “ Let's analyze and look forward to the next race weekend at Mugello » adds the teammate fabio quartararo author of a good top 10.
Next weekend at Mugello offers Kidneys a new opportunity to prove his abilities and redeem himself after a frustrating run in Barcelona. “ We need to understand what happened today and prepare ourselves for Mugello. I can't wait to get back on track and show what we can do."
alex rins and his team have their work cut out for them to analyze the problems encountered in Barcelona and ensure they do not recur in order to fight for higher positions at Mugello in the Italian Grand Prix.
