The graph allows you to visualize the situation at a glance: Marc Marquez is nicely in the lead while his two main rivals, Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo, have dropped out, one from Mugello, the other from Barcelona .
But as we can see, the difference is mainly made in the number of white results, Marc Marquez being the only one in the field not to total any, compared to 3 for each of the two Movistar Yamaha riders, a situation generally the opposite of that of last year.
However, Rossi's curve demonstrates his excellent level, when he does not make a mistake or suffers a twist of fate, while that of the Majorcan driver is much more worrying, even if it is essentially linked to the weather conditions...
Will the laws of statistics apply and the trend reverse this year? We are not soothsayers and know absolutely nothing about it!
What seems very likely is that the gap is now large enough for Marquez to be crowned champion if he does not score a clean result, especially since he has obviously learned to accept a place of honor instead of systematically seeking victory...at the risk of sometimes falling.
Otherwise, which we don't wish for him, everything is still possible.
A little further down in the graph, we will note the very slight drop in pace of Pedrosa, the regularity of Vinales, the now laborious growth of Espargaro Pol and the rise in power of Iannone et Crutchlow, the color of the curve of the latter being solely linked to the happy event that he has just experienced.
