I have a 17-page contract which provides, without an exit clause, that I ride in MotoGP in Misano, Aragon, Thailand and Japan.

I would like to point out that at the time of sending this press release, I have still not officially been informed by the Team that it is terminating this contract, apart from the fact that yesterday after- noon to 16:30 p.m. during my training with Rubén Xaus, the boss of Team Real Avintia calls Rubén and tells him that I will not ride in Aragon because Dorna imposed a Spanish driver on him!

Rubén Xaus reminds him that it's not possible because I had a 4-race contract.

The team boss told him that it was largely because of Cal Crutchlow and Jack Miller who insisted and encouraged the other drivers to exclude me.
He actually explains that the MotoGP riders imposed on Dorna this week a commission with immediate effect which would be called GPC (Grand Prix Commission) which would involve the MotoGP riders in the choice of replacement riders!

I remind you that the creation of this Commission was done after my integration into Moto GP and my contract, I am trying to assert my rights and the boss of the Team tells Rubén that he insisted with Dorna by telling them “ but what do I do with Ponsson since we are in contract for 4 races”, he continued by telling him that Dorna replied that he had nothing to do with it and that it was his problem!

A mixture of disappointment and disgust invades me to the point of wondering if I am not going to stop this sport for good!

Rubén leaves, telling me that he will try to understand what is happening so much that it seems unrealistic and that he will call me back later!
Around 18:00 p.m. I found an announcement from Jordi Torres at Avintia which stated that it was Team Avintia who contacted Torres!

Here's how they all went about preventing me from doing my 3 other Grand-Prix, although they were contractual!

At the time of this press release, I have no more explanation than that to give you. I will now ask for an official explanation because I need to understand these dirty tricks!

In Misano, all these MotoGP riders who never stopped praising that MotoGP was the highest motorcycle competition in the world and who couldn't let young riders like me arrive, according to them inexperienced, well I'm not sure that this MotoGP institution took good care of its image by quickly making a commission on the gas at the request of a few riders to free me! This is a bit cavalier and MotoGP has not grown from it!

In fact, I thought that this kind of little arrangement was only done in small private races!

On the evening of this Friday, Rubén Xaus confirmed to me that there is nothing more to do!

Jordi Torres hasn't been riding for 2 months, he was available for Misano! Why didn't Team Avintia take him for Misano?

I would like to point out that I would never have agreed to sign a MotoGP contract just for one race without doing tests first! If I agreed to take on this challenge and sacrifice my Spanish championship, it was precisely because the contract provided for 4 races without an exit clause and that Team Avintia had told me that depending on Tito's state of health Rabat, I could do a 5th, 6th or even the last 7 rounds of the season!

I took the Misano round for my first MotoGP tests because I knew that behind me I still had 3 Grand Prix to progress and demonstrate that I had my place in the premier category! …
