As announced on Tuesday, this weekend will see a first in MotoGP: a virtual race. A star-studded team, led by Marc Márquez (Repsol Honda Team) and Maverick Viñales (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP), will return to the track, this time virtually, in a special event broadcast on the official MotoGP™19 website. It is a video game from developer, publisher and long-time partner, Milestone.

Competitors will tackle the stunning digital rendering of the Autodromo del Mugello and the duration of the race will be SIX turns. Before the start of the race, a five-minute qualifying session in time trial mode will determine the starting grid positions.

The event will be broadcast in full on Sunday March 29 at 15:00 p.m. (GMT+2), with qualifying broadcast before the race. Fans will be able to follow the race on motogp.com and esport.motogp.com, on select TV channels and on social media such as YouTube (via the MotoGP and MotoGP eSport channels), MotoGP eSport Twitter, Instagram and Facebook (via the MotoGP and MotoGP eSport pages).

Broadcasters include SKY Italy, Canal+ in France, DAZN in Spain and DACHS, BT Sport in the United Kingdom, Servus in Austria and Germany, Eurosport in the Netherlands, OTE in Greece, SwissTV in Switzerland, Viasat in Sweden, Pop in Slovenia, SportTV in Portugal, Sport5 Israel, Sportklub in Serbia, MTV Finland, NBC in the United States and ESPN in Latin America, among others.

The riders will each play in a private “Race Management” hall, set up to invite each rider to the event, and send them the motorcycle settings.
