[Press release] Nearly 3 people gathered on Saturday at the San Martino del Lago circuit near Cremona, Italy, for the biggest event of the year for Suzuki fans in Italy, with the participation of 'Andrea Iannone and Kevin Schwantz.

This celebration gave Suzuki managers and fans the opportunity to enjoy a day entirely dedicated to them, with numerous activities and the full range of products.

Racing fans were able to show off their skills on the track, both with their own Suzuki and with the many demonstration GSX-R1000Rs available to them, while free testing was possible with the other bikes in the range in the streets around the circuit. Young fans weren't disappointed either, with 125cc and 250cc motorcycles available to spin around the small go-kart circuit.

Iannone, freshly returned from Austin where he claimed a third place during the last race weekend, was happy to join the event amidst a crowd of fans celebrating this excellent result and eager to have an autograph and a photo during the signing sessions organized by Suzuki Italy. Iannone also retested the GSX-R1000R he had previously enjoyed, and demonstrated the new Suzuki Swift Sport.

But the most important moment of the event was when the procession of riders with more than 400 motorcycles, led by Iannone and Schwantz, made a few laps on the Cremona Circuit, and ended with a group photo in the S of Suzuki.

Andrea Iannone : “I didn't expect such an important event in Italy and I must say that I was surprised by the affection I received at the Suzuki Day in Cremona. The paddock was full of people who could all find something to do. We met a lot of fans (I couldn't say how many autographs I signed), which proves once again how much people like the Suzuki brand. The bikes are incredible, we rode a few laps around the circuit with over 400 people and I was touched by the affection I received. These events are important to me because they make me realize how much we mean to people and how much they mean to us too. When we are at the Grand Prix it is more difficult to feel the closeness of people because of our tight schedule and the concentration we have to have, so when you are at a more informal event you can relax a little and really enjoy this fantastic passion that is motorcycles. »
