Business is apparently booming for the Garcia family who own the company Circuito de Almería SL
Already the owner of the Almeria circuit, a 4,2 km route, it doubled its capacity by building in 2015 the 4300 meters of the Andalusia circuit a stone's throw from the first.
However, its expansion does not stop there since it has just acquired land near Seville to build a more ambitious project, likely eventually to host a Formula 1 or MotoGP Grand Prix.
The circuits in southern Spain benefit from maximum sunshine, which is a factor in profitability. However, this new route will be located less than 100 km from a circuit in Jerez de la Frontera which we know how much Carmelo Ezpeleta loves.
It is therefore not obvious that he will one day join the MotoGP world championship, the latter already including 4 events in Spain and many countries, emerging or not, wanting to have their own Grand Prix but being on a waiting list…
