The former Repsol Honda rider talks about the man who was his teammate in MotoGP from 2013 until his retirement in 2018. Dani has nothing but good words for Marc Márquez. Regarding '#93', he underlines: " Marc is a different runner. He was impressive on the track because he did things I couldn't equal.”

Pedrosa observed each of his rivals on the track, trying to overtake them at certain points in the race, as he hinted in the latest episode of 'Cuatro Tiempos'. The Castellar del Vallés pilot had as box companions pilots such as Nicky Hayden, Andrea Dovizioso, Casey Stoner et Marc Márquez. About the latter two, he says: "I had strong riders like Stoner and Marc as teammates, but at the time I considered myself their equal, not as lower ".

Dani opened up alongside other great riders like Jorge Martínez Aspar, Jorge Lorenzo and Álex Crivillé in front of the DAZN cameras, with Izaskun Ruiz. About Marc Márquez, '#26' said: " I knew that if I fell like him, I would end up in the hospital because I broke something. I realized that I was taking more risks ". It is known that his injuries reached him in the decisive moments, and perhaps this is one of the reasons why Pedrosa did not win a world championship in the premier category, as also said Aleix Espargaro.

Márquez without difficulty with the tire change

Continuing to talk about his long-time teammate, he indicated that he had a particular difficulty with tires, specifically when switching from Bridgestone to Michelin. Dani pointed out that he didn't like them as much as Marc. The “little samurai” did not see Márquez in difficulty, he was always competitive with Lorenzo or Rossi (Yamaha) at the time, or even Dovizioso (Ducati).

Dani Pedrosa explains and concludes: “ There were times when the bike was going very well and I was fast, but if it wasn't going well it was difficult for me, not for Marc. Mark, no. He has this special ability to win with less than perfect bikes. When we moved from Bridgestone to Michelin we struggled, especially me, but Marc managed to adapt to the tires and win the championship. »
