Dani Pedrosa is a special case in the MotoGP landscape. His talent is undeniable but since he entered the elite landscape where he appeared in 2006, he has been the eternal runner-up. Vice-World Champion in 2007, 2010 and 2012, he was also quickly put under the spotlight in his own team as soon as cases like Stoner or Marc Márquez arrived. But, this season, he is in the game. And there is still a long way to go before an epilogue where he intends to create a surprise.

Dani Pedrosa is fifth in the championship but only 35 points behind the leader Marc Márquez, his teammate. He is only two lengths from Valentino Rossi and he has, after seven races, one victory and six podiums. Not so bad and a pace which puts him among the contenders for the crown at stake. Especially since he has not yet played all his cards… From the height of his 58 meters, he clearly announces that he will put all his weight of 51 kilos in the ongoing battle...

« This season, the bike works better than last year. Especially in the corners, which is important for me. The engine is also more powerful. The team works better. We changed our approach to weekends and that's why things are better ". It will be recalled that Dani Pedrosa has changed chief engineer and that he is coached by a certain Sete Gibernau.

« We are still missing a few things but I know what I have to do. I hope we will manage to do it quickly enough and then I will still be there for the title. Things are getting tighter and tighter and it's getting harder and harder. If we improve our level and win a few more races, then we will be there. I feel better and better. The season is still long. There will also be more pressure on the drivers. We'll see how everyone handles this. ».
