Dani Pedrosa

Dani Pedrosa is what you call an authority in the Grand Prix paddock. Due to his track record, his talent and his experience, he is essential, even if he was never able to become a World Champion in MotoGP. He has always ridden for Honda, but today he is delighting KTM as a test rider. Watching Valentino Rossi retire, he remembered his battles with the Doctor. And he made this astonishing revelation...

Dani Pedrosa was in Valencia for the last Grand Prix of the MotoGP season which was also the final race of Valentino Rossi as a starting driver in Grand Prix. A moment he experienced like this: “ it was a truly unique moment. The whole public turned towards him as well as many pilots. There was a very good atmosphere all weekend. It was very beautiful and very important for someone who contributed as much to this sport as he did.. I hope he made the most of it, because for him it will have been sadder than for the others. Internally, making the decision to retire is a very difficult thing to do, but the day that comes is even stronger. I remember my personal experience, but I hope he is happy ».

Dani Pedrosa also remembered Vale as an opponent: “ for me, he was the undisputed reference and a very strong rival, from whom I learned a lot and with whom I was able to experience incredible battles. I am very, very happy to be able to say and know personally that I have been on several occasions at the level that he showed in MotoGP and that I have also been an important rival for him ».

Dani Pedrosa: “ nothing is going to excite him as much as what he's done so far«

One of these battles was the first, in Brno 2006. “Il Dottore” won that time, but Pedrosa learned perhaps one of his most important lessons. “ That was really the first fight we had. He beat me, but I remember it as a very good moment because we surpassed each other quite a few times ". And then he lets go AS : " I can tell you that in the early years of MotoGP it was difficult for me to withdraw that special respect that you have for someone so important and, until I couldn't withdraw it, I couldn't not really beat him in some battles. It slowed me down, but I was very happy to have this memory ».

The tester KTM has been retired for a few years now, so he knows what to do to fill the racing void. “ It's important that you fill that void as best you can, with things that you're passionate about. Nothing is going to excite him as much as what he's done so far. Obviously, a child is also the most that can happen to you in life and I'm sure it will fill many moments " finished Dani Pedrosa.
