This edition of the Dakar definitely did the greatest good for Danilo Petrucci who was able to rebuild his sporting health and morale. The Italian has entered the history books by now asserting himself as the only MotoGP rider to have won a stage of this great rally-raid classic, an environment which is the opposite of that of a paddock of Grand Prix. Petrux has in fact regained his strength, which allows him to send a few messages to clear all accounts. KTM is concerned while the appeal to Valentino Rossi is much more sympathetic…

Danilo Petrucci is still his turn Dakar Rally where he experiences ups and downs while gritting his teeth all the same, because the injury to his ankle constantly reminds him of his bad memories on the marathon stages of this unparalleled rally. Petrux experienced stage victory, falls, breakdowns, he got lost in the middle of the desert and, in these events, he seemed to find himself and rebuild himself.

A personal and professional relaunch that he had however started to organize before attacking the dunes, but which completely revealed itself in conquering them. On GP One, he thus almost announces his return to Ducati to take on the challenge of MotoAmerica. But he doesn't forget to look a factory in the face KTM against whom he still has a grudge despite this opportunity offered by the Dakar…

Danilo Petrucci: “ I spoke to Valentino Rossi who asked me questions«

We thus read about the next conquest of America: “ It's not official yet, but you already know. It's a decision I made before the Dakar, but I asked for it to be revealed at the end. First out of respect, and then because I wanted to take advantage of it ". But he also adds: “ now we have to see what KTM will do. However, there are some things I didn't like over the last year, and also how it was all handled ". Petrux even speaks of an anger which was born from this period, which he was able to express at the Dakar in the competition, with the good result that we know.

In a lighter tone, the Italian also speaks of his intention to do more Dakars, and perhaps with an illustrious compatriot: “ the last days, most of the drivers asked me about the Dakar. I spoke to Valentino Rossi who asked me some questions, and I told him I would like to do it with him behind the wheel and me as navigator. If Valentino is not very compatible with the Dakar timetable, the cars launch there later for the stage, which maybe we can do. That would be cool ". And we saw, with the result of Petrucci this year in the Saudi desert, whoever tries nothing gets nothing...
