Davide Brivio

Davide Brivio has returned to Europe to embark on a new adventure in the MotoGP paddock as Team Principal of TrackHouse Racing. His return had been expected for a while, after his emotional farewell to Suzuki. For the Japanese manufacturer, his departure left a void for an entire season, temporarily filled by Livio Suppo before his definitive departure from the championship. Now, Brivio ends his experience in Formula 1 and returns to the world of MotoGP as team principal of the newly formed TrackHouse Racing.

Davide Brivio recently visited the headquarters of TrackHouse, where the NASCAR team has state-of-the-art facilities. His love for the United States and motorsport played a major role in his choice. Although his time in F1 was not as successful as hoped, Brivio sees this experience as a learning opportunity and hopes to apply these lessons in his new adventure in MotoGP/

« La F1 was a good experience from a professional point of view » he said on Motoracing. « Honestly, it didn't go as I would have liked, but I had the great opportunity to see how such a large organization works... A thousand people to drive two cars, so it was very nice and I think that I learned new things. Now this new opportunity opens in MotoGP and we will see if I can apply certain things ».

Davide Brivio: “ the objective is to make life difficult for the Ducatis »

In addition to his responsibilities at TrackHouse, Davide Brivio will also represent added value for Aprilia, which aims to challenge the domination of Ducati in the world championship. He underlines the importance of the collaboration with the Noale firm and the innovative approach of the American team. Brivio sees this fusion between American and European sporting cultures as something positive for all: “ they are Americans, there is a different approach, they want to be innovative. We will see what we can bring from American sport to European sport. It could be two worlds intersecting and it could be positive for everyone ».

Despite its past successes in MotoGP with Yamaha and Suzuki, Davide Brivio prefers to focus on the future and the challenges ahead. With two drivers to choose from for TrackHouse, he anticipates an exciting time ahead. The challenge with Ducati looks difficult, but Brivio is determined to make life difficult for the Italian team. It recognizes the competitiveness of Ducati during tests, but remains confident about the Aprilia's potential. Its objective is to compete with Ducati and push them to their limits: “ Ducati confirmed the competitiveness it achieved during testing. Aprilia must try to get closer, I see a very active Aprilia from an aerodynamic point of view, a completely new bike which could pose some difficulties at the beginning but which has great potential. The objective – concludes Davide Brivio – is to stick to the Ducatis and make their lives difficult ».
