Pecco Bagnaia

Pecco Bagnaia is going through a dark period. Two consecutive Grand Prix without scoring a single point—at Mandalika and Phillip Island—have plunged the two-time MotoGP world champion into doubt. The Ducati rider struggles to understand what's going on with his bike and now demands clear answers. Davide Tardozzi is fighting back.

After Australian Grand Prix, the tone rose: " I don't recognize the bike I'm riding this year anymore ", confessed one bagnaia visibly distraught. His only moment of respite dates back to Japan, where he finally found his feet and scored his first double of the season. But since then, everything seems to have fallen apart.

The Italian is nevertheless trying everything to reverse the trend. His accident in Australia is proof of this: " It happened because I was overdoing it to avoid crossing the finish line last " he explained, lucid about the pressure he puts on himself.

Faced with the situation, Davide Tardozzi, the team manager of Ducati, wanted to reassure:

« Our only concern is to help Pecco. We know perfectly well that the competition is fierce, that Aprilia and other brands have grown, but our priority is absolutely Pecco. " he told *Sky Sport Italia*.

Davide Tardozzi wants to put an end to this persistent rumor: " there is no disagreement between Bagnaia and us »

Tardozzi also wanted to put out rumors of internal tensions:

« There is no disagreement between us: we discussed constructively after the race of what to do in Sepang and we have some ideas. Gigi Dall'Igna and Riccardo Savin, the chassis director of Ducati Corse, who is a very competent person, will study them. I think we will try something for Malaysia. I don't know if we will find a solution, but I still have great confidence in our technicians and in Pecco. He concluded.

Sepang will therefore be a decisive turning point: either Ducati manages to give back to bagnaia la MotoGP that he “recognizes”, or the crisis risks getting worse.
