Better, the WSBK will take up residence in Andalusia in August. Is this finally the end of confinement?

This is the good news of the day: an agreement to propose to the Spanish government to organize two Grands Prix and a round of WorldSBK in Jerez was concluded. The regional government of Andalusia, the municipal council of Jerez de la Frontera and Dorna Sports have in fact agreed to make a proposal to the Spanish government which, if approved, would see the Circuito de Jerez–Ángel Nieto organize two MotoGP Grands Prix and a WorldSBK round in late July and early August.

After an electronic meeting this morning between Juan Antonio Marin, vice-president of the regional government of Andalusia, Mamen Sánchez Díaz, mayor of Jerez de la Frontera, and Carmelo Ezpeleta, CEO of Dorna Sports, the three parties agreed to make a proposal to the Spanish government to organize two Grand Prix of the FIM MotoGP World Championship at the Circuito de Jerez–Ángel Nieto on the weekends of 19 and 26 July, respectively.

It is also proposed to organize a round of the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship there, which will take place on August 2nd.

Once authorization from the Spanish government has been granted, the three events will be offered to END to be registered on their respective calendars. The first MotoGP event would be the Spanish Grand Prix, which would open the MotoGP class season, and the second would be the Andalusian Grand Prix.
