Pirro chatted with Zarco in Jerez but not only that...

Michele Pirro was on a Ducati identical to that of Johann Zarco at Jerez, the site which was to launch the start of the WSBK in its off-season. Unfortunately, the rain ruined everything and the vast majority regretted having lost not only time but also money. However, the Italian is part of the minority who has not regretted his time in Andalusia. He was thus able to observe Stefan Bradl’s RC213V…

The Ducati test rider Michele Pirro did not regret his trip to Jerez. Of course, he was there with only a Panigale V4S, but he was able to exchange with John Zarco about the coming season. Above all, he took the opportunity to look closely at the RC213V which Honda had brought for Stefan bradl. An opus revisited in terms of its setting in particular. The observation was therefore useful: “ despite the absence of Marc Marquez, they are working and this is not new for us » commented the Italian on GP One.

« They don't stand still like other teams. I figured they had something new to try and they did. Bradl brought a new bike to the track and it was useful for us to look at their work » comments mischievously Pirro.

Pirro believes Honda is going the Ducati way

We lend to Honda the desire to finally make an RC213V for everyone after waking up suddenly from a dream Marc Marquez whose package is a nightmare. The brand's results have never been so disappointing since 2002. The fact remains that this versatility was proclaimed by Dani Pedrosa then by Jorge Lorenzo in his days. But that was in the world before...

A sort of turnaround which leads to this comment from Pirro : " I think that is so. Ducati started this policy a few years ago by developing a motorcycle for everyone and maybe Honda will also follow this path. A motorcycle accessible to all is not necessarily a limitation for Marquez. On the contrary ».

He finishes : " In my opinion, it can be useful to not always be at the limit in certain circumstances. It is obvious that the best rider makes the difference, but by allowing him to have a more balanced bike he can have more margin ". In 2021, a newcomer to Repsol Honda will also have his say: Pol Espargaro.
