Alvaro Bautista

Alvaro Bautista's performance as a guest at the Malaysian Grand Prix on a very good official Ducati turned out to be a completely missed meeting between the double Superbike World Champion and MotoGP. A performance at least in the top 10 zone was hoped for, if only to strengthen the reputation of the riders competing in the category reserved for production motorcycles. Because there was no mistake: the one who celebrated his reunion with his old paddock was on a mission for the one who is now his private preserve. A disaster, which deserved analysis. She was medical. And we understand better.

Ducati took stock of Alvaro Bautista following his wild card Malaysian Grand Prix. At the end of a performance that we will modestly describe as disappointing, the Spaniard revealed on Sunday at Sepang that he was suffering from neck pain following a fall during testing at the Jerez Circuit. After a proper medical examination, it turned out that Baptist suffered from an injury that was effectively incapacitating, but did not require surgical intervention.

Before boarding for Malaysia, Álvaro Bautista had suffered a heavy fall which prompted a red flag to be issued. But at the time, he returned to do his work and therefore headed towards the Malaysian Grand Prix de MotoGP to enjoy it on one Ducati factory. We know what happens next, and we now see it more clearly.
