Aleix Espargaró declared it himself in Portugal at a press conference, despite his victory in Argentina, he has no indication as to his future at Aprilia: for the moment, Noale is not speaking and the Catalan does not see any other solution than to continue to perform as best as possible to try to extend his contract with the Italians.

After a little relaxation in the USA, the 32-year-old driver once again had a very good race in Portimão, owing only to the composure and tenacity of Johann zarco not to finish on the second step of the podium. He is still in 3rd place in the championship and actively participates in the 2nd place currently occupied by Aprilia behind Suzuki in the teams' standings.

It is therefore in this upward spiral that the Noale firm continues to exploit the advantage provided by the only point of concessions remaining to it by hiring its test pilot in Jerez Lorenzo Savadori as a wild card to continue developing the 2022 RS-GP.

Between the high level of performance ofAleix Espargaro, the progression of Maverick Vinales and the work of Lorenzo Savadori, Aprilia has high expectations from the Spanish Grand Prix in Jerez de la Frontera!

Aleix Espargaro: « Despite the situation in the ranking which is new for me and for Aprilia, I don't feel any pressure. On the contrary, knowing that I have a competitive bike reassures me. As for the championship, it should not be an obsession but an opportunity that we must be skillful enough to seize. I have no doubt that we will be able to be fast in Jerez as well, on a track where I have always felt good. »

Maverick Vinales: « We have not yet managed to express our full potential. I know that our level is better than what we have demonstrated so far. Unfortunately, for one reason or another, this final step has always eluded us. The configuration of Jerez de la Frontera could give us a boost but obviously it is up to us to improve, especially in qualifying, a condition that makes the first part of the race difficult for us. »

Lorenzo Savadori: « Our goal in Jerez is the same. As we did in Portugal, we will continue the work of developing RS-GP, testing new solutions and collecting useful data. The growth of our project is clear but, given the competitiveness of the championship, it is important to never stop pushing to improve. »
