In Aragon, the Grand Prix commission met to, among other things, deal with this case. The mobilization of an unknown Grand Prix driver by a team will now be subject to approval. Some drivers requested a prior evaluation, which was physically impossible, others mentioned the existence of a super-license as in Formula 1, or even to tighten the rule of 107% to be achieved in the time trial compared to the best time.

Finally, the procedure adopted will be the responsibility of the representatives of IRTA, the FIM and Dorna within the framework of a selection committee which already exists. From now on, teams wishing to enter a replacement driver must first obtain approval from this selection committee, as with regular drivers. The evaluation parameter will be the sole common sense of the commission which will evaluate, by bringing together many considerations, whether a driver can participate in a championship race.
