It has now been 53 days since the MotoGP went silent after the Valencia tests and we will still have to wait 39 days to be able to follow the official 2023 test in Sepang, a total of 92 days without hearing the four cylinders of the premier category roar, and it's even worse when it comes to seeing them compete in the race!

The MotoGP winter break seems endless this year and this is obviously even more the case in endurance, where the championship currently only has four events...

This feeling shared by fabio quartararo et Sylvain Guintoli on social networks is undoubtedly felt by many other drivers in all categories and, certainly, by millions of enthusiasts.
It largely results from the gradual reduction of winter testing over the years: If the official winter break is only 2 months, from December 1 to January 31, in concrete terms it is a full quarter that fans must fill without attending tests, and even more than four months if we talk about the races themselves!

At a time when speed competition is slowly but surely moving towards a "spectator sport" on a global scale, spreading out the season somewhat would not only satisfy the insatiable appetite of the enthusiasts thus always mobilized, but also to avoid the end of the season with 4 GPs in 5 weekends…

Of course, we will be told logistics and the pilots' need for rest. Except that…
