Fabio Di Giannantonio is preparing for his Italian Grand Prix at Mugello which he dominated during MotoGP qualifying last year, taking a resounding pole position on a tricky track. A performance which seemed to herald a promising continuation in his rookie year. But since then, he has returned to the anonymity of the peloton. This year he has the experience and a chief mechanic who was world champion with Joan Mir. But it still doesn't take off. Now his name is mentioned behind the scenes at WSBK…

Fabio DiGiannantonio must prove himself from next June if he wants to keep his handlebars in MotoGP. The Gresini Ducati rider has nothing certain yet for 2024 while his bike is coveted to say the least. Three names are on the list to move into his current box. The first is Nadia Padovani’s home rider in Moto2 Filip Salac. But also the current leader of the Moto2 championship Tony Arbolino, managed by Carlo Pernat who also takes care of bastianini who trained at Gresini before joining the official Ducati team. And Alonso lopez, definitely followed closely since at Yamaha , we don't snub him either.

But then, what about Fabio Di Giannantonio ? According to motosprint, a plan B is being hatched in WSBK where there are a plethora of good opportunities. Fabio DiGiannantonio is competing in his second season in the premier category, alternating good performances and complicated moments. In 2022, as a rookie, he finished in twentieth place in the final standings, with an eighth position captured at the Sachsenring as the best of the year. From Portimao to Mans 2023 is another eighth position, acquired in France, which he claims as his most notable performance, before going to compete in his Italian Grand Prix.
