fabio quartararo : “of course the result is incredible, from Jerez where we started to make our first pole position and also to Mugello where we reached the first row, and here it was the perfect weekend: We made pole position and our first podium in MotoGP. So yes, I didn't expect as much during the first part of the season. The real expectation was of course to try to be on the podium. We knew that here (Barcelona) is a track that I love and the team told you that a top 6 or a top 8 would already be very good, but honestly, in my head I knew that I wanted the podium. We were able to make a good start but unfortunately I had a little incident with Marc, but in the end we were able to get second, so it was even better than a 3rd place on the podium.”
“The next step will be to stay calm and learn, like we did this weekend. Everyone has a lot of experience and we have been working very well since the beginning of the year during the sessions, on Fridays and Saturdays, carrying out the program we set for ourselves. The team helps me to stay calm, even if we are in a difficult moment. There haven't been too many this year but they help me stay calm, and when I'm calm I can be very fast. I am very satisfied ".
“The next step is to get to the next race: We are very confident so we will try to repeat the same weekend as here, although of course we will have some difficult moments. Assen is a circuit that I really like, one of my favorites, and we know the Yamahas work very well there. So yes, we will try to have a very good race and a good result there.”
